Dear Parents and Coaches,
In the world of youth athletics (we're talking
elementary through high school) we've seen very little emphasis
in teaching the basic bodyweight movements such as the squat,
push-up, and pull-up. It's absolutely
essential young athletes truly learn these
foundational movements.
Once learned, our older athletes learn the
progressions to the "slow" barbell
movements (press, deadlift) as well as the
Olympic lifts (clean and jerk, and snatch
variations).
With each training/coaching session,
your child will learn and review the basic bodyweight exercises
and progress to learning drills, skill movements, and
controlling external objects (medicine ball, slam balls,
sandbags, tires, etc).
